Your turn wee man, here is what your foster mamma says about you;

Meet Dennis!

Dennis came to us from a tough background, and it was clear right away that he hadn’t always been treated kindly. At first, he was a little unsure of himself, for example, he would cower if my husband picked up a slipper to shake something out. But with time, love, and patience, Dennis has started to blossom into the sweetest, most gentle soul.

It did take him a little longer to bond with my husband than with me, so Dennis would love a forever family who can offer him reassurance and patience. He wasn’t too keen on being in a crate at first, as it seemed to remind him of bad experiences in the past. We never pushed him, we just left the door open for him to explore in his own time. And guess what? He now chooses to go in on his own and sees it as a safe little space.

Dennis sleeps in our room because he likes being close to his humans, and he snoozes through the night like a champ. Over the past four weeks, he has grown into such a cuddle-bug! He loves snuggling on the sofa, happily soaking up fuss and affection, and always gives plenty of love back, so gently, too. Honestly, you can’t help but fall in love with him.

Dennis is wonderfully well-mannered: he sits on command, listens when told “down,” and takes treats so delicately. He’s a young, playful boy who loves zoomies, chasing a ball, and playing with plushies. That said, he does like to keep his toys and food to himself, so he’ll need to be fed separately and supervised around toys with other dogs.

He gets along beautifully with our female Frenchie and our little pug (he’s especially fond of her!), though sadly our other Frenchie just hasn’t accepted him, which is the only reason Dennis can’t stay with us forever. Otherwise, he would absolutely have been a keeper.

Dennis is fantastic with children (he’s met our grandchildren, aged 7 and 9, and was so gentle with them) and does really well when out and about. He’s curious about dogs across the street but doesn’t pull or fuss, even at the vet’s, where he sat like a little gentleman while the staff all fell in love with him.

He’s also a big foodie who adores homemade meals. He enjoys his walks, is clean in the house, and isn’t a noisy boy, though he will give a polite bark to let you know someone’s at the door. Oh, and he actually loves bath time too!

We’ll miss Dennis terribly when he leaves, but we know he’s ready to find his forever family. He’s such an easy dog to love, eager to please, gentle with people, and full of joy. Whoever adopts him is going to be one very lucky family.
