Fostering.. How To Apply

(Our foster application form can be found at the bottom of this page, please click on the pink text)

As a charity we rely on the love, kindness and generosity of the public to help us in many ways, whether it's short-term or long-term fostering or even adopting one of our beloved Frenchies and offering it a fur-ever sofa.

We don't place our surrendered dogs in kennels, instead we rely on a network of volunteers to open their doors as foster carers to give each dog a safe, loving environment it can call home while it is assessed to see what it really needs from a forever home.

Lots of people have emailed or commented on how to apply for one of our dogs that are up for adoption. Hopefully these steps will help you.

1. When a dog arrives into foster, we wont accept applications or private PMs. We have limited information on the dog, so whilst they are under the care of the fosterer they will carry out a full assessment and complete a dog assessment form. The foster period is approx 7-14days depending on the dog.

2. Once the dog is ready to find their forever home an adoption post will be put up for them, and applications will be open for that dog, listing adoption fee, location, likes and dislikes and any medical information if the dog will require continued treatment.

3. When the adoption post is live you can submit your application. Every applicant MUST complete an adoption application form for the dog they are wanting to apply for. (once the end date is reached no more applications will be taken for the said dog and will be disposed of).

a. You need to complete ONE adoption application form per dog.

b. If you have completed an adoption application form in the past these will now not stand, as we were getting approx 100 new application per day and can not possibly go threw them all.

c. Once applications are closed, all apps are reviewed and a shortlist is created. We will arrange a homecheck if you are shortlisted. *** Not having a homecheck done will not affect you application, so do not worry ***

d. Once the successful applicant is chosen an email will be sent to those not successful. If your not successful please do not feel disappointed. 1 dog and on occasions 100s of applications are received so it can be a very hard decision for us. There will be plenty of opportunities to apply for other dogs.

The popularity of French Bulldogs is growing at an alarming rate which means that we are seeing more of them than ever being surrendered to us, to help find them a better home. So, as you can imagine we are always on the lookout for foster families to help keep the dog safe and assess its needs until a forever home is found.
