Dolly

“Dolly is such a happy girl and always smiley in the company of people.

She is looking for a new home not through any fault of her own but because her current human has had to take on more work hours and Dolly isn’t getting the attention and care she needs or deserves.  

Dolly is used to being around other dogs and pet birds and gets along great with other animals outside the home. She is curious what cats but not aggressive but cannot be trusted with small furries such as hamsters.

If she had her human full time she wouldn’t mind being a solo dog and having all the attention. Dolly is not a fan of being left alone and can display anxious behaviours when she is. She has lived with children age 3 up and never been a problem. She does get excited when they are excited and usually jumps around on the spot as if to join in. She does enjoy playing and will chase a ball happily but ‘tags’ it with her nose and leaves it where it is When she entered her last home, she was very very timid and with time and training over the years she has become the bubbly girl she is today.

She is an old girl so her eyes are not as good as they once were but that doesn’t stop her.

One of her greatest attributes is that she is a Frenchie with no allergies!! She is regularly vet checked and always gets a superb health report. Her nose has also been checked, and she very rarely snores.   What I think is her most wonderful quality is that she cuddles like a human. Most Frenchie’s choose a lap to sit on, Dolly puts her front paws against you and scootches her butt toward you and rests her head. A proper cuddle. She also does little bum wiggles when she’s happy to match her gorgeous grin. She sleeps downstairs with other dogs at the moment but would prefer to be by her humans when she sleeps.

She walks lovely on lead and has excellent recall.

She is currently on dry, grain free food senior food but has had no gastro issues when new foods have been introduced in the past (yes a Frenchie without stomach issues too!) My only hope for Dolly is that she finds a loving home with humans who can dedicate time to her. She deserves to have her retirement full of cuddles, kisses, treats and warm knees.”
