❤️ IRIS ❤️

Iris is the most beautiful little dog and has been a pleasure to foster. I think the home that Iris needs is one where she will be the only dog or a home with a male dog only, she likes to be queen bee!. She has been in with a pack of 7 but I feel she would be more comfortable being the only dog.

She would benefit from being in a home where someone is around a lot of the time.

She is very loving and loves cuddling up to you. She’s fascinated by everything around her and I get the impression she’s not had much in her previous life.

She travels well in the car, walks well on the lead and although interested in other dogs she’s not shown any aggression towards them. Out on a walk she has to smell absolutely everything and it reminds me of how a child would be the first time in a sweet shop - everything is soooo exciting!!

She has seen cats, again very interested but she’s not met any so I wouldn’t know if she chases them.

She absolutely loves water and will spend ages jumping through the sprinkler and paddling in the pool. After that she’ll hold out all 4 legs individually and loves being rubbed down to be dried off!!

She can be a little bit nervous and will bark and cower sometimes especially when you go to put a harness on but after that she jumps up and is ready to go.

She does bark if someone knocks on the door but will stop once she has been reassured.

She has slept on my bed and can’t get close enough to you and doesn’t move all night.

She is house trained.

The lucky family who adopts her will find themselves with the most wonderful loving little girl and with patience, gentleness and encouragement she will be a huge asset to their family.

She has been left for 3 hours with other dogs and spent that time sitting in the window waiting for my return.

I think she will need to be reassured that you are coming back and this will need to be worked on slowly with her so she doesn’t get anxious. Iris you are a little diamond and you will be missed terribly.

Iris' new owners must be willing to travel to Wolverhampton to have her cherry eye removed, the main aim for this little lady was to get her fit and healthy before her eyes are done
